Who is Barrie Families Unite (BFU)?

BFU is a Not for Profit organization which is run by volunteers. We are dedicated to ensuring everyone in our community has access to essential needs for Free.

How does BFU support the community?

BFU supports the local community through a number of initiatives with a focus on food insecurity, access to daily goods, and filling the gap in partnership with a number of other organizations in the community.

Do you accept donations?

YES!

BFU survives on the donations and the generosity of others. Donations can be made at our thrift shop “Give Back Rack”.

What items can I donate?

Our Thift Store “Give Back Rack” gladly accepts the following items:
– clean, gently used clothing and footwear of all sizes – especially children’s sizes
– kitchen items including small countertop appliances and microwaves, dishes
– clean gently used linens, especially bedding and towels
– male and female toiletries
– cleaning supplies
– gently used toys, books and electronics
